01 / The Brief
What they needed
The site didn't say any of that. So we designed and built a new one from scratch, pointed squarely at the homeowner who's about to spend five figures wrapping their house.
Premium render work is sold on evidence, not adjectives. Nobody spends that kind of money because a website called itself "professional" — they spend it because they can see houses that look like theirs, finished properly, and read what the neighbours said afterwards.
The brief was simple to say and fiddly to do: make a site that carries the weight of the work. Load fast on a phone in a driveway, put the proof where it can't be missed, and make getting a quote take one tap.
02 / The Build
What we built
- A full design and build on Next.js — no page builder, no template, no plugin stack to go stale.
- Mobile-first throughout, because that's where a homeowner researches a renderer.
- Service sections for silicone render, monocouche, traditional smooth render and brickwork — each one its own page-level block rather than a bullet on a list.
- Before-and-after galleries of real jobs, shot on site. No stock photography anywhere on the site.
- Reviews from Checkatrade and Google surfaced high on the page, not buried at the bottom.
- A coverage map so a visitor in Knutsford or Formby knows in a second that they're in the patch.
- Enquiry form, WhatsApp and email — three ways to make contact, all one tap from anywhere on the page.
03 / The Thinking
The calls we made
- 01
Photography carries the page
Render is a visual trade and the client had a real archive of finished work. So the design gets out of the way: big, uncropped before-and-afters doing the persuading, with type and layout keeping quiet around them.
- 02
"Finished to last" over "free quote"
The headline sells the standard, not the discount. Chasing price-shoppers with a bargain hook would pull in exactly the jobs this client doesn't want. The quote is free — it's just not the first thing you shout.
- 03
Named villages, not "the North West"
Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Altrincham, Formby, Chester. Naming the places tells a homeowner they're in the patch without them having to work it out, and gives local search something specific to hold onto later.
- 04
WhatsApp treated as a primary route
Half of trade enquiries now start as a message with a photo of the wall attached. Making WhatsApp equal to the form — rather than an afterthought icon — matches how these jobs actually come in.
04 / Where It Stands
Straight answer
The site is live and doing its job: design and build, delivered and handed over, owned outright by the client.
Search work hasn't started yet. When it does — and when there are numbers worth showing — the results will go here, with the dates and the source they came from. Until then this page says what it is: a build, not a case study with a graph on it.
