Web design for trades across Deeside and Flintshire
Deeside work flows both ways across the border. Your site should be picking up jobs in two countries.
Web Design in Deeside
Deeside is one of the few patches where a trade can reasonably quote in two countries before lunch. Connah's Quay, Shotton, Queensferry, Sandycroft, Hawarden and Flint sit within a few minutes of the Cheshire boundary, and a lot of local households commute over it daily. The industrial estate and the Airbus and Toyota workforce give the whole area a steady, employed, spending population.
Most Deeside trades under-sell that reach. The site says "Flintshire" and quietly gives up on everything east of Saltney. We build it to work both ways — CH5 and CH6 covered properly, and the Chester side covered too, so you're findable wherever the customer happens to be sat.

What Deeside searches
Real searches · Flintshire
- builder deeside
- plumber connah's quay
- electrician ch5
- joiner queensferry
- bathroom fitter flint
These are the shapes of search that turn into work round here — and what we build the web design around.
A border market most trades under-play
Google treats Chester and Deeside as separate local markets even though they're fifteen minutes apart. Trades based in Deeside often rank fine at home and nowhere at all over the border, which leaves a lot of well-paid Cheshire work on the table. The reverse is also true — Chester firms rarely bother targeting Flintshire, so the door's open in both directions if the site's built to walk through it.
The plan · Deeside
How we’d
go about it.
No two towns need the same approach. This is what web design looks like in Deeside specifically.
01
Build for both sides
Pages for the Flintshire towns and pages for the Cheshire side. Same business, two local markets, and no reason to only show up in one of them.
02
Pin the towns down individually
"Deeside" isn't one place — it's Connah's Quay, Shotton, Queensferry, Garden City and Hawarden. People search the specific town they live in, and those searches are barely contested.
03
Work with the shift patterns
A big slice of the local workforce is on shifts, which means enquiries at odd hours and a real appetite for evening and weekend appointments. If you offer that, it should be one of the first things the site says.

FAQ · Deeside
Web Design,
answered straight.
The questions Deeside tradesmen ask before they pick up the phone.
Should I say I'm based in Wales if most of my work is in England?
Be straightforward about where you're based and explicit about where you cover — that's what Google wants and what customers want. Hiding your Welsh base doesn't help you rank in Chester; having a proper page about your Chester work does.
Do I need separate pricing for the two sides?
That's your call commercially, but the site can handle it either way. What matters more is being upfront about any travel radius or call-out charge — the fastest way to burn a Deeside lead is a surprise on the phone after they've read something different online.
